Pensero connects to selected Google Chat spaces to analyze work-related conversations. This article explains what Pensero reads, how data is used, and how to connect Google Chat to Pensero.

Overview

The Google Chat integration allows Pensero to analyze work-related communication from connected spaces. By linking Google Chat, Pensero identifies technical discussions related to tickets, pull requests, or documents to enrich delivery insights.

Admins can manage the Google Chat integration from the Integrations section.

Important: Customers are responsible for informing space members that messages in connected Google Chat spaces will be shared with Pensero.

What Pensero Reads

Pensero only analyzes content from spaces that are explicitly connected.

  • Messages and replies from connected spaces

  • Technical conversations with links to tickets, PRs, or documents

Pensero does not read direct messages or spaces that are not connected.

What Pensero Calculates

Pensero uses relevant Google Chat messages to:

  • Understand collaboration patterns

  • Add context to work items

  • Enrich delivery insights

Only relevant messages are processed. All data is handled according to SOC 2 requirements.

Add Google Chat to Pensero

  1. Go to Integrations and select Google Chat, then click Connect

  2. Grant the required permissions

  3. Add the Pensero app to the spaces you want to analyze

  4. Allow some time for the initial sync to complete
