Access to a Pensero workspace requires a seat. Seats are designed for your tech and product team: engineers, engineering managers, product managers, and anyone whose work you want to track and measure.
Seats
A seat provides full access to all Pensero capabilities included in your chosen plan. Each user in your organization requires a seat to access your Pensero workspace. Seat pricing by plan:
Starter β $0 (free)
Growth β $50/seat/month (annual plan)
Enterprise β Contact us
Note:
Prices are shown in United States Dollars (USD).
The Starter plan includes up to 5 seats.
The Growth plan has a custom seat count agreed at signup.
The Enterprise plan has unlimited seats.
You won't be charged for seats during a trial.
Do you need access for people outside your tech team?
If you need to give visibility to people who should not count as a seat, such as C-level executives, finance stakeholders, or anyone outside your tech and product team, we can set up alias access for them.
Alias access allows these users to view the relevant information in Pensero without being counted as part of your active team seats.
To make alias access work correctly, the user must have an active login in Pensero.
Alias access will not work if:
Login is disabled for the user.
The user has been deactivated.
If you need alias access for someone in your organization, contact us through the Messenger and we will help you set it up.
Inviting teammates
A seat is counted as used as soon as a user is added, regardless of whether they have logged in or not.
How seats are billed
Seats on the Growth plan are billed annually, upfront, based on the number of seats agreed at the start of your subscription.
If you need to add seats mid-cycle, the additional seats will be prorated for the remaining period and reflected on your next invoice.
How to check your seat usage
You can see how many seats are in use at any time by going to Org Settings > Users.
At the top of the page you will see a summary like "Active seats used: 97/100" showing how many seats are occupied out of your total.
If all seats are in use, you will also see an Add more seats link directly in that view, next to the seat count.
Removing a teammate
If you remove a teammate from your workspace:
Their seat is released and you stop being charged for it from that date (prorated on your next invoice)
Their historical data, commits, pull requests, and metrics remain visible in Pensero
You've reached your seat limit. Here's how to add more seats
If you try to add a new teammate and see the message "You've reached your seat limit", it means all the seats in your current plan are in use. You need to add more seats before you can invite additional team members.
To add seats:
Click Add more seats in the message, or go directly to Org Settings > Billing
Click Manage seats in the top right corner
Enter the total number of seats you want (the minimum is your current number of active users)
Click Update seats
You will see a confirmation message: "Seats updated successfully."
Note: A seat is counted as used as soon as a user is added, regardless of whether they have logged in or not.
Contact us through the Messenger if you need help managing your seat count or have questions about billing.
